KENNEBUNK ME - Sharron Eastman, a local forward and reverse mortgage expert, will be a featured speaker at the Maine State Bar Association annual summer meeting at Sunday River Resort on June 20.
Eastman has extensive experience with reverse mortgage in Southern Maine and will share this knowledge with attorneys from all over the state.
Eastman's discussion of reverse mortgage and its many applications will be presented with Martin Womer, Esq., and will include topics such as the implications around elder law and MaineCare eligibility; how reverse mortgages work and the roles they play in estate planning; asset protection, and the avoidance of foreclosure or bankruptcy.
New regulatory issues and a quickly changing national environment make this topic increasingly important for all attorneys to understand.
Eastman has been in the mortgage business for seven years. Her company, Big Horizon Mortgage in Kennebunk, is celebrating its fifth anniversary in July.
Prior to moving to Maine, Eastman was a commercial real estate broker in Boston, Mass.
Eastman serves on the Maine Association of Mortgage Brokers Board of Directors and is the chair of the association's statewide education committee.
